Wendy K. Emerson, Director of Digital Marketing, taught a class last month on 10 Things Every Business Should Know About Google Search. The class was presented by the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce as part of their Chamber University series covering a wide range of topics to help business owners succeed. The request came after Google announced the updated algorithm release on April 21, 2015 that places more relevance in search engine results listings on websites that are mobile-friendly.
In May, Emerson shared with business owners a variety of things related to Google search and their business websites. The topic covered everything from best practices in building page content to Google Analytics and content development. The participants were very interested in looking more in-depth at Google Analytics and how that free tool can help unlock important information about their websites.
As a result, Emerson will be back at Chamber University on August 12, 2015 to teach a class looking specifically at Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools. The class will focus on the basic analytics every business owner should want to know about how their website is performing. These web analytics can help companies make educated decisions about their business websites and digital marketing efforts.

The class will be held August 12, 2015 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Quail Summit in Canandaigua, NY.
