equaTEK Interactive works with storeowners to make them PCI Compliant and mobile-friendly.
equaTEK Interactive, a web-based software development company located in East Rochester, New York is excited to announce becoming an eCommerce development and marketing partner with VORTX, the author of the well-known eCommerce platform, AspDotNetStorefront. This partnership comes at a crucial time for VORTX as they launch their new PCI Compliant version of their storefront (version 10.)
“VORTX has taken eCommerce security seriously and is ahead of most of its competitors in regards to meeting the latest PCI standards”, says Edward Hanchett, Executive Vice President and CFO of equaTEK Interactive.
eCommerce storeowners have until June 30, 2016 to get their eCommerce storefronts compliant with the PCI PA DSS 3.1 standard that was published in April of 2015. This new standard raises the bar dramatically for online commerce to create the highest level of security and protection of primary payment account information and sensitive authentication data to date. The 3.1 standard not only impacts the merchant, it also will impact the storefront’s hosting environment and storefront software. After that deadline, many storefront owners will no longer be covered by the PCI umbrella and may be held responsible for all fraudulent transactions that are associated with their website checkouts along with penalties and fines.
AspDotNetStorefront has been validated by the PCI Council as a PCI PA DSS 3.1 compliant platform and will be listed on the PCI website as such.
As a VORTX partner, equaTEK makes sure the upgrade to Version 10 goes smoothly for storeowners, providing needed support and any necessary customization to the application.
